RealNet connects the dots with new branding

National estate agency group RealNet will soon be celebrating its 21st anniversary, and in anticipation of this milestone has just unveiled its exciting new branding as well as a new corporate vision of becoming "the most loved real estate group in SA".

"As a group, we are also looking to overcome the sense of separation and detachment that has been increasing in the real estate market since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, with more and more property listings, viewings and transactions being handled remotely instead of face-to-face, and automation often taking the place of human interactions," says group MD Gerhard Kotzé.

"So, while embracing and happily making the most of the latest property technologies to benefit our clients by simplifying property buying, selling or letting processes, we have pledged ourselves to put the 'human' back into real estate transactions by recognizing that most decisions in our industry are driven by a combination of both logical and emotional factors.

"In fact, we see ourselves as the people who are uniquely placed to 'connect the dots' between the hearts and minds of our clients, and then to use our specialist skills and knowledge to turn their real estate dreams into reality. This is what the first element of our new logo represents."

This element is a matrix of circular dots that also represents the interconnectedness of the RealNet franchises, he notes, and the fact that the group has a national network of business owners, independent contractors and property professionals all working together to make ensure that each and every client "connects" with the right space, whether this is their dream home, perfect office or ideal investment property.

"In addition, our group name has now been expressed in a new, modern font that will help us claim a definitive visual and mental space in a real estate landscape that has become increasingly cluttered with lookalike advertising and marketing elements. As an added benefit, the 'Real' part of the brand also underlines the fact that we have a purpose as real and tangible and property itself."

"And finally," says Kotzé, "our new slogan, 'Connecting hearts and homes', is an unequivocal statement of that purpose, as well as the value we bring as the humans - with hearts as well as brains - who really understand that real estate transactions involve feelings and emotional needs as well as hard-headed decisions about price, location and size.

"We are proud of our long record as a group of people who act with integrity, strive for solutions and take care of our clients and communities, and now we believe that our new branding will help consumers to also note and remember us as their best 'connection' when it comes to real estate."
