Marina Smith entered the real estate industry in 2006 in the White River and Nelspruit Area with Pam Golding Properties. Soon she realised that she wanted to focus on Sectional Title Schemes and Full Title complexes. In 2007 she was certified as a Sectional Title Specialist Realtor (STSR UCT). To further her knowledge in that field, she also achieved a certificate in Sectional Title Scheme Management (STSM UCT).
In 2012 she attained her PPRE Certificate of Professional Designation. In 2016 she accomplished a Certificate of Competence for NQF5. She mentored and trained many of her colleagues in the Pam Golding White River and Nelspruit offices to become compliant.
After both her daughters had matriculated in White River, she moved to Pretoria and joined Nelis Bezuidenhout's team at RealNet Wapadglen, specialising in Sectional Title and Full Title Complexes in the Faerie Glen, Garsfontein, Wapadrand and Olympus areas in Pretoria East.
In 2015 her husband Ken, was offered a position in Saudi Arabia for five years. Between 2015 and 2020 she lived out of the country, however she continued to be a member of Nelis' team, mentoring CPD compliancy and troubleshooting EAAB related issues remotely. Short vacations in South Africa always included a visit or two to the EAAB offices and updating POE files in the Wapadglen office.
After re-joining the Wapadglen sales team in October 2020, Marina was ranked 4th place in the Top Ten Betterbond Incentive for supporting estate agents achieving over 40% bond support to Betterbond for 2021.
